WIFE IS GONE - BAD GUYS COVER

My wife has been gone for a week. She's visiting family in another state and won't be home for another nine days.

I'm up late.  I miss her.

I'm bored.

Here's the cover for The Bad Guys #3

 That is all.

WORK IN PROGRESS - FORTS THREE COVER

The basic art for the Book 3 cover has been worked out! This is a spoiler-heavy image as you're getting a look at a few new characters.

That's how I roll.

WORK IN PROGRESS - FORTS THREE COVER

Progress on the cover for Forts 3 continues to putter forward. It feels pretty good to be woking on these characters again. I took too much time away.

Art has always been therapy for me and this has been a rough year.

WORK IN PROGRESS - FORTS THREE COVER

I decided to get to work on the cover for the third book in the Forts series over the weekend. I will of course, keep you updated.

I have a good feeling about this one.

TWICE IN ONE WEEK - SOME SKETCHES

Two updates to the work blog in less than a week? Start building your fallout shelters because the end of the world is no doubt on the horizon. The sketches above are some rough character/concept stuff from a project written by a friend of mine. I think they came out looking pretty good.

I'm currently writing the third and final book in the Forts series, and finally feeling excited about it. For a while there I was struggling with how to start, and seriously lacking motivation for some weird reason.

You know...because motivation is never a problem for me.

(That last sentence was as sarcastic a sentence as I've ever written.)

The Broken Back Twins

Both my wife and I have rather annoyingly been struck with some terrible back pains at the exact same time. This is especially sucky because both of us are hobbling around the house like a couple of injured camels, complaining, whining, and generally being a pains in the butt.

Yep...lots of fun at the ol' Novak household.

I put a few new zombie designs up recently over at redbubble, including one just in time for the new Indiana Jones flick. Feel free to check them out.
